Mary Bahram

Mary is a dedicated Mental Health Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and Gottman Level 1 Clinician, bringing a warm and client-centered approach to her work at Evolving Minds Counselling. She is passionate about helping adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families strengthen their relationships, navigate life’s challenges, and build emotional resilience.

Mary works with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, and family dynamics. She approaches each client's journey with deep respect for their unique experiences, guided by the core values of respect, ethics, empathy, and compassion; principles at the heart of Evolving Minds Counselling.

 

Mary has a special interest in relationship therapy, excelling in couples and family counselling. She understands strong, healthy relationships are key to overall well-being and works with clients to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connections.

​As a compassionate clinician committed to your growth, Mary utilises a variety of evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.  When focusing on relationships, Mary utilises Gottman and Family Systems Theory.

Her therapy is always personalised, ensuring each client receives the support and tools best suited to their individual needs.

Mary believes in the inherent strengths within each person and encourages clients to explore and maximise these strengths throughout their therapeutic journey.
