Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Eating Disorders (DBT-E)

​DBT-E is effective for a range of eating disorders, including Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa, Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders (OSFED), and emotional eating. DBT-E helps regulate emotions that lead to harmful eating behaviours, such as bingeing, purging, or restriction, while creating a healthier relationship with food and body image. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Gottman Couple Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing - EMDR)

​EMDR helps  process and heal from distressing memories and traumatic experiences by using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, to activate the brain’s natural ability to reprocess difficult memories. This technique reduces the emotional intensity linked to these memories. Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - (CBT-E)

CBT-E, or Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, is a specialised and evidence-based treatment for eating disorders.  It is tailored to each person's specific needs and targets the thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that maintain the eating disorder.

Maudsley - Family Based Therapy (FBT)

​A highly effective, evidence-based treatment approach designed specifically for children and adolescents with eating disorders, such as Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. The therapy involves the entire family as active participants in the recovery process

​Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) 

​An evidence-based approach that addresses the connection between emotions and relationships. Effective in the management of grief, interpersonal conflicts, as well as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and relationship issues.

MANTRA (Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa)

​A specialised therapy designed  to treat anorexia nervosa by targeting the emotional and psychological aspects of eating disorders.​This approach focuses on building motivation for change and helping clients gain a deeper understanding of the emotional triggers and underlying factors.​​​

Radically Open Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (RO-DBT)

​An evidence-based treatment designed for those struggling with overcontrol, such as excessive self-restraint, perfectionism, and difficulty forming connections. Effective for challenges like chronic depression, anorexia nervosa, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), social isolation, and anxiety, RO DBT focuses on increasing openness, flexibility, and social connection.

Schema Therapy

It is particularly helpful  with long-standing patterns of negative thinking, emotional dysregulation, and maladaptive behaviours due to unmet emotional needs or early life experiences.

Somatic Psychotherapy

​Somatic Psychotherapy is particularly effective for presentations where the mind-body connection plays a significant role, including trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, chronic stress, and physical symptoms related to emotional distress, such as chronic pain or fatigue. It is also helpful for individuals struggling with emotional regulation, dissociation, or unresolved grief.
